Nelson is a wonderful place to visit – at any time of year!

All four properties are perfectly situated to explore Nelson city’s rich array of boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants a pleasant five to ten minute walk away, including award winning Hopgoods Restaurant. Don’t miss Nelson’s famous Saturday market. Buy a coffee or freshly squeezed juice while browsing the stalls of locally made jams and chutneys, organic fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, clothing and jewellery.

The neighbourhood of The Wood is a quiet residential area with a dairy (convenience store/corner shop), boutique supermarket, post office, Bobby Frank’s Cafe and the Sprig and Fern tavern (a tiny pub with old-fashioned hospitality, open fires, boutique beers and board games).

Take a walk along the beautiful Maitai River, stroll through the Queen’s Gardens and Chinese Gardens, visit the Suter ArtGallery and climb to the Centre of New Zealand for magnificent views over Nelson city. Nelson is a great base from which to explore the wider region, taking in wineries, galleries, beaches and beautiful countryside.
